The Cast
Rare insight into the world of Māori culture and birth practices
My Māori Midwife has received critical acclaim for its rare insight into the world of Māori culture and birth practices; where the physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing of a new mother is considered. It also grapples with wider issues of empowerment and agency for indigenous women. Produced by Annabelle Lee-Mather (The Hui, The Casketeers) and directed by Rewa Harriman (The Hui), My Māori Midwife is a powerful, aspirational and life-affirming short form series; now in its third season.
